1. Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic finished 2014 ranked #1.  They each have put an early claim on the #1 ranking for 2015.  Congratulations to the 6 time and 5 time champions.
2. Andy Murray ended 2014 losing 6-0, 6-1 to Roger Federer.  Murray’s wins over Dimitrov and Bercyh along with his showing in the first two sets of the championship match bode well for 2015 being a rebound year.
3. Maria Sharapova has a firm hold on the #2 ranking.  That next step is going to be a tricky one.
4. Stan Wawrinka made a game attempt at defending his title.
5. Victoria Azarenka appears to be back.  This is good for tennis.
6. Tomas Berdych has to feel good about beating Rafael Nadal.  Are Berdych and his new coach on to bigger and better things as their time together increases?
7. Madison Keys is a player.
8. When Murray and Nole are exchanging baseline salvoes, they put on some of the best tennis I have seen.
9. Nick Kyrgios, Milos Raonic, Grigor Dimitorv, and Kei Nishikori ensured that 50% 37.5% of the men’s quarterfinalists were 25 or under.  That is a quasi-youth movement in today’s game. (Grigor I tried to help you advance there)
10. Fedal Era questions emerge from this event.
