Paris Masters 2015: Quarterfinal Predictions

Predicted Winners in BOLD

[2] Andy Murray (GBR) vs. [10] Richard Gasquet (FRA) H2H – Their rivalry changed when Murray won from 2 sets down at Wimbledon 2008 vs. Gasquet. Murray has been rolling in Paris.  Gasquet has had a nice year in 2015, but I think Murray dominates.

[8] David Ferrer (ESP) vs. [13] John Isner (USA) H2H – Ferrer is a better player than Isner across nearly every metric except for serving.  I think Isner on this surface will be unbreakable and will likely clock one ot two forehands in tie break sets to win this match in 2 or 3 long sets.

[1] Novak Djokovic (SRB) vs. [5] Tomas Berdych (CZE) H2H – Berdych has his moments, but I cannot see him winning this match.

Rafa: “Stan, we combine for 10 Roland Garros titles.”

Stan: “Rafa, we also combine for 2 Australian Open titles.”

[4] Stan Wawrinka (SUI) vs. [7] Rafael Nadal (ESP) – I think Wawrinka will get a little revenge for his loss to Rafa in Shanghai.  This could go either way, but I think the surface favors Stan a bit.
