Novak Djokovic vs. Kei Nishikori

The surface is different in London, but I expect a similar result

Kei Nishikori’s biggest career win was a four set victory over Novak Djokovic at the 2014 US Open.  I would not expect an encore.  Novak Djokovic is in the middle of a historically excellent season.  He wants to end this year in style as compared to the Serb’s sputtering end to an excellent 2011 season.  Kei can bother anyone by taking the ball early during a rally and by returning well.  Novak can do those things as well, but his game has more options for making an impression upon a match.  Novak also has great tactical discipline.  I expect Novak to win in a fairly routine fashion.

My Prediction: Novak Djokovic d. Kei Nishikori 6-4, 6-2.
