The Davis Cup final kicks off on friday with Belgian No. 1 David Goffin hoping to get the nation off to a good start as he faces Brit Kyle Edmund, who becomes the first person since Feliciano Lopez in 2003 to make his debut in the final. This match is set to take place at 13:30 Belgium Time (12:30 UK Time)
Goffin has been very impressive so far, winning all of his singles matches with relative ease. One clear advantage Goffin has is that his strongest surface is Clay, and with the crowd behind him he will be raring to go.
It will be interesting to see how well Edmund plays. He has recently won an ITF on Clay in Buenos Aires and that will have given him confidence, but may be nervous having never had played such a big match. It will be interesting to see how he copes…
