Australian Open 2016: Day 3 Men’s Predictions

Predicted Winners in BOLD

[3] Roger Federer (SUI) vs. Alexandr Dolgopolov (UKR) – This is not an ideal draw for Roger, but over 3 out of 5 sets I think he will win even if Dolg comes out on fire.

[1] Novak Djokovic (SRB) vs. [WC] Quentin Halys (FRA) – Novak should roll.

[7] Kei Nishikori (JPN) vs Austin Krajicek (USA) – Kei should advance.

[9] Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (FRA) vs. [WC] Omar Jasika (AUS) – Jo is a mystery to me heading into this event, but I think he wins.

[6] Tomas Berdych (CZE) vs Mirza Basic (BIH) – The Big Czech basically advances in matches such as these.

[29] Nick Kyrgios (AUS) vs. Pablo Cuevas (URU) No upsets picked yet.

[15] David Goffin (BEL) vs Damir Dzumhur (BIH) – For Frodo!

[24] Marin Cilic (CRO) vs. Albert Ramos-Vinolas (ESP) – Big man tennis or not?

[14] Gilles Simon (FRA) vs Evgeny Donskoy (RUS) – I like Gilles here as well.  So many seeds being picked.

[28] Andreas Seppi (ITA) vs Denis Kudla (USA) – I nearly picked Kudla, but I am not sure he has enough heft to win 3 sets vs. Seppi.

[19] Dominic Thiem (AUT) vs. Nicolas Almagro (ESP) – Again, I nearly took Almagro, but Thiem seems poised for big things.

[27] Grigor Dimitrov (BUL) vs [Q] Marco Trungelliti (ARG) – Grigor wants Roger in the 3rd round.

Federico Delbonis (ARG) vs. Renzo Olivo (ARG) – Buenos Aires will be watching.

[26] Guillermo Garcia-Lopez (ESP) vs. Daniel Brands (GER) – I have to pick against one seeded player.

[24] Roberto Bautista Agut (ESP) vs Dusan Lajovic (SRB) – Vamanos!

[Q] Pierre-Hugues Herbert (FRA) vs. [WC] Noah Rubin (USA) – I like this match, but I have no idea who is likely to win.
