French Open 2016: May 27th Women’s Predictions

Predicted Winners in BOLD

[4] Garbine Muguruza (ESP) vs Yanina Wickmayer (BEL) – Wickmayer is a tough opponent, but if Muguruza is back to playing her level of tennis she should win in 2 with one of the sets being close.

[11] Lucie Safarova (CZE) vs [21] Samantha Stosur (AUS) – Two runner-up finishers at Roland Garros collide.  Stosur does have her US Open crown, but I think Safarova is in better form.

[6] Simona Halep (ROU) vs. Naomi Osaka (JPN) – A Romanian Revolution?

[2] Agnieszka Radwanska (POL) vs [30] Barbora Strycova (CZE) – This probably won’t happen, but I think Aga can be pushed around on clay.

[19] Sloane Stephens (USA) vs Tsvetana Pironkova (BUL) – Pironkova has done well for one of the first times outside of the lawns of Wimbledon so maybe this goes 3 sets.

[25] Irina-Camelia Begu (ROU) vs Annika Beck (GER) – Bullish on Romanians

[10] Petra Kvitova (CZE) vs Shelby Rogers (USA) – Petra Kvitova had some rough personal issues, but if she is on the mend mentally watch out.

[13] Svetlana Kuznetsova (RUS) vs [24] Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (RUS) – The former champ wins?
