US Open 2016: September 3rd Women’s Predictions

Predicted Winners in BOLD

[5] Simona Halep (ROU) vs [31] Timea Babos (HUN) – Halep should win, but she will need to hold her court positioning.

[1] Serena Williams (USA) vs. Johanna Larsson (SWE)  – This has the feel of a trap match, but I think Serena will advance in two sets with one set being a bit too close for comfort.

[6] Venus Williams (USA) vs [26] Laura Siegemund (GER) – Again Venus has earned the benefit of the doubt.

[11] Carla Suarez Navarro (ESP) vs [19] Elena Vesnina (RUS) – This is a 50-50 match, but I think Vesnina strong summer will continue.

[4] Agnieszka Radwanska (POL) vs [25] Caroline Garcia (FRA) – This certainly could go to Aga, but I have a feeling Garcia has the goods today.

[Q] Ana Konjuh (CRO) vs. Varvara Lepchenko (USA) – What a chance for each player to pile up ranking points.

[10] Karolina Pliskova (CZE) vs [17] Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (RUS) – Pliskova was impressive in winning Cincinnati and has a workable path to go deep in New York.

Yaroslava Shvedova (KAZ) vs. Shuai Zhang (CHN) – This match is another great opportunity for each player.
