[13] Johanna Konta (GBR) vs. Anastasija Sevastova (LAT) – I like Konta again. Her results at the Australian Open earlier this year and at Stanford bode well for Konta.
[8] Madison Keys (USA) vs. Caroline Wozniacki (DEN) – I’ve gotten Wozniacki wrong quite a bit here. If Keys is not sharp, she will struggle. However, the match is largely on Keys’ racquet.
[2] Angelique Kerber (GER) vs [14] Petra Kvitova (CZE) – This battle of two lefties could be an instant classic. Kvitova has the better and bigger serve. She also can play unbelievably well, but Kerber seems more likely to avoid a poor performance.
[7] Roberta Vinci (ITA) vs. Lesia Tsurenko (UKR) – Vinci has backed up last year’s result to an extent.
