Indian Wells 2017: March 12th WTA Predictions

Double-vision?

Predicted Winners in BOLD

A Great Schedule of Matches

STADIUM 1

[7] Garbiñe Muguruza (ESP) vs. [WC] Kayla Day (USA) – Muguruza should win, but I am not sure how that will play out on the court.

[5] Dominika Cibulkova (SVK) vs. Kristyna Pliskova (CZE) – I nearly picked an upset here as Kristyna had some good moments in Australia.  The height differential as well as the geopolitical history of Slovakia and the Czech Republic add to the match up.

STADIUM 2

[11] Johanna Konta (GBR)  vs [21] Caroline Garcia (FRA)

[3] Karolina Pliskova (CZE) vs. [29] Irina-Camelia Begu (ROU) – Pliskova survived hurricane Puig.

STADIUM 3

[8] Svetlana Kuznetsova (RUS) vs. [26] Roberta Vinci (ITA) – This battle of veterans should be fun, but I think Kuznetsova should be able to handle Vinci’s variety.

STADIUM 4

[15] Timea Bacsinszky (SUI) vs. [18] Kiki Bertens (NED) –

[10] Elina Svitolina (UKR) vs. [24] Daria Gavrilova (AUS) – I have to pick at least one upset (don’t I?).

[17] Barbora Strycova (CZE) vs. [19] Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (RUS)
