Predicted Winners in BOLD

[5] Marin Cilic (CRO) vs. [15] Albert Ramos-Vinolas (ESP) H2H – Cilic is having his first good event since Acapulco.  Ramos-Vinolas just upset the world #1 and is due for a letdown.  I think Cilic wins in a fairly straightforward manner.

[11] Lucas Pouille (FRA) vs. [16] Pablo Cuevas (URU) H2H – My head says Pouille, but Cuevas is having such a strong 2017 that I will go with recent form and take Pablo Cuevas in a 3 set war.

[2] Novak Djokovic (SRB) vs. [10] David Goffin (BEL) H2H – Goffin certainly can win this match.  Novak Djokovic has needed 3 sets in each of his first two matches.  Still, Novak is favored.  I think Novak may be one spark away from a mini-roll.  If Novak were to build toward a successful repeat in Paris, a lot of the past 52 weeks would recede into irrelevancy.  

[4] Rafael Nadal (ESP) vs. Diego Schwartzman (ARG) H2H – I think Schwartzman is in deep trouble.
