I used to get a lot of traffic doing predictions. I moved away from that for several reasons. Still, breaking down one or two matches per day that are likely to be close seems like a good way to evolve rather than abandon taking a look at the matches on the pro tours. Here is a look at how the matches of the day have turned out thus far:
Kyle Edmund d. Jeremy Chardy 7-6 (1), 5-7, 6-4, 4-6, 7-5
Victoria Azarenka d. Jelena Ostapenko 6-4, 7-6 (4)
Ivo Karlovic d. Feliciano Lopez 7-6 (4), 7-5, 6-7 (7), 7-5
Grigor Dimitrov d. Marin Cilic 6-7 (3), 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (2), 6-3
With the exception of Petra Kvitova’s unfortunate injury, every match of the day pick has been a fun match. Of course, I thought the Australian Open final this year was going to go 5 sets, but I think most of these matches are worth our attention as fans.
We’re ready for some more tweeners like this! 😲
