I was not going to post this until I had a column to go with it.  With all of the talks about most this or greatest that, if doubles and mixed doubles are considered Martina Navratilova is the most decorated tennis player ever.*  Getting a tweet from her was a thrill.

I was going to write about the younger players on tour (26 and under – what constitutes youth in today’s Ponce de Leon Tour?) penchant for mauling tennis racquets and berating coaches and/or parents contributes to poor behavior from junior players.  With Covid-19, I thought to share this tweet just for morale.  When professional, college, junior, and high school tennis get back into some pattern of normalcy, I will write that column.

*Martina Navratilova has 18 Grand Slam singles titles, 31 Grand Slam doubles titles, and 10 Grand Slam mixed doubles titles!  Not saying she is the GOAT, but for some guy who honed his tennis game at Klondike Park in Louisville, KY to communicate with Martina Navratilova is humbling and awesome.
