French Open 2020: October 5th Men’s Singles Predictions

Predicted Winners in BOLD

Court Philippe CHATRIER

[5] Stefanos TSITSIPAS (GRE) vs [18] Grigor DIMITROV (BUL) – The battle of the one-handed backhands will be interesting. Tsitsipas is playing excellent tennis. Dimitrov has a bit more heft in his game at this stage of each man’s career. Heft may be the key in heavy conditions. Still, I think Tsitsipas likely wins in 4 or 5 sets if he holds his mental game together.

[1] Novak DJOKOVIC (SRB) vs [15] Karen KHACHANOV (RUS) – Djokovic should win this match, but Khachanov is a tough out who is not going to wilt. Still, Novak should win in 3 or 4 sets.

Court Suzanne LENGLEN

[13] Andrey RUBLEV (RUS) vs Marton FUCSOVICS (HUN) – Rublev could reach the final if things broke his direction. Breaking that way would probably mean someone else takes Djokovic out, but he can beat everyone else on this side of the draw.

[17] Pablo CARRENO BUSTA (ESP) vs [Q] Daniel ALTMAIER (GER) – The rematch seems pretty likely.
