Top Half: Novak Djokovic vs. Dominic Thiem
The two biggest non-Rafa threats for the 2019 title have a potential semifinal date every tennis fan should look forward to. Thiem’s wins at Indian Wells and Barcelona as well as close lose to Nole in Madrid should make him believe his 2018 runner-up finish was one of many finals appearances in Paris.
Djokovic won Madrid and reached the final at Rome. He has won 3-consecutive majors heading into Roland Garros 2019. He has the game to beat anyone on any surface. I say let them fight.
Bottom Half: Rafael Nadal vs. Stefanos Tsitsipas
It might be nostalgic to pick Federer to reach this semifinal. He only has to win 4-more matches to do so given his opening Sunday win, but Tsitsipas has the 4th best chance at taking this title. He is still a long shot to take the title, but I think he and Rafa get a 4th 2019 clash.
Magic in Madrid 🇬🇷🙌
