Novak Djokovic fought through a game challenge from Roberto Bautista Agut to reach his 6th Wimbledon final.  RBA confirmed that his 5 wins at Wimbledon to reach the semifinal round as well as his wins over Djokovic at Qatar and Miami were not mere luck.  Djokovic proved his metal by regrouping quickly and taking over the match after losing the second set.

Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal contested a tense 4 set affair that included some insane match point saves by Rafael Nadal.  Roger Federer conserved energy in the 2nd set after falling behind by a break.  Federer tried this during the 2010 US Open semifinal with worse results.  In this case, it seemed to be a judicious move.  Federer played two great grass court sets in the 3rd and 4th sets.  It was tense in the 9th and 10th games of the 4th set, but in the end, Federer and Nadal set back the clock to 2006 rather than their 2007 and 2008 five set classics at Wimbledon.

This sets up a championship match between the 2011, 2014, 2015, and 2018 Wimbledon champion facing the 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2012, and 2017 Wimbledon champion.
